Town of Kentland
Located on the western edge of Central Indiana, Kentland’s enduring history dates back to 1860. Fast forward to 2020 — jovial families, verdant landscapes, and small businesses are thriving at the heart of this rural community.
Funded with a grant awarded by the USDA Rural Development branch, the Town of Kentland was selected to take part in a program known as the Rural Opportunity Zones Initiative (ROZI) which focused on creating impactful development projects in rural communities. Life-long local residents soon formed an Opportunity Zone Task Force to work closely with ROZI in order to pursue progressive economic change throughout Kentland.
Shortly after, the organizations reached out to Vast Creative to take on the task of branding an authentic Kentland experience that is warming to town residents, attractive to outside businesses, and intriguing to its newcomers. When the time arrived to implement the brand throughout a new website experience, Vast collaborated with Kucsera Design to get it done.
Working as a team, our approach towards the website was focused on improving digital interactions by spotlighting the historic community, local businesses, opportunity zones, town departments, recreational areas, and the abundance of news that comes along with evolving such a vibrant Central Indiana town.
