IEEE at Purdue University
IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, is the world’s leading technical professional institution.
In collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University Northwest, students gain experience by working on projects with modern electric vehicle technology. Until recently, IEEE’s involvement at the university was largely dormant until a handful of students and administrators revitalized the program and their competitive engineering spirit.
In order for IEEE at Purdue University Northwest to take part in collegiate engineering competitions, the program needed to grow its members and significantly increase funding for electric vehicle development. To accomplish these goals, an omnichannel marketing campaign was created alongside various community outreach programs at local high schools, on campus, and with companies that support the engineering field.
Through campaign strategy and building upon the IEEE brand identity, the program utilized their newly printed sponsorship booklet and website to reach both corporate sponsors and students alike — exceeding funding expectations and consistently placing in the top brackets at the nation’s largest EV engineering competitions.
“I help run an engineering club at Purdue University Northwest and the leadership within our club was not experienced with marketing or advertising. Kyle made it very easy in order for us to start reaching out to our sponsors and community by first designing a sponsorship packet — which was met with positive feedback from our sponsors and professors alike. Thanks to that packet, our club has seen a dramatic increase in funding.
More recently, he is finishing up our club’s website — which is much more modern, sleek, and presentable compared to our previous website. Kyle’s knowledge of branding and presentation combined with his web development experience makes him the best in the business. Not even mentioning that both projects were completed before the stated deadline.
I will continue bringing my business to Kyle and will always refer him whenever any of my colleagues need any work done with marketing or advertising.”
